Alishan tea plantation is located in Taiwan’s Chiayi County, at an altitude of 1,300 to 1,700 meters. The place is foggy throughout the day and has short daylight hours on the average. The bitterness of the tea tree’s buds is reduced, thereby increasing the tea leaf’s sweetness. The leaves are mostly irrigated with spring water, giving it a sweet and mellow taste, and strong chill high mountain flavor. It is deservedly acclaimed to be the world’s top-grade tea.
